Linux operating systems

Linux has been one of the major operating systems for servers for some time, mainly due to its open source nature and most of them being free. As well as being supported by almost every data centre it allows to keep costs low and preformance high. Linux also supports server side scripts such as PHP, Perl, CGI, ColdFusion and Railo.

There are many different types of Linux operating systems but we do have our recommended version which is the latest stable version of Cent OS. Being one of the best OS's and as all our administrators have been trained in this OS we can make sure we can handle all issues brought up.

About Cent OS

CentOSCentOS is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by a prominent North American Enterprise Linux vendor. CentOS conforms fully with the upstream vendors redistribution policy and aims to be 100% binary compatible. (CentOS mainly changes packages to remove upstream vendor branding and artwork.) CentOS is free.

CentOS is developed by a small but growing team of core developers.  In turn the core developers are supported by an active user community including system administrators, network administrators, enterprise users, managers, core Linux contributors and Linux enthusiasts from around the world.
